What is an intensive?

An intensive can be a half-day (3-4 hours) or full day (6 hours) in which we strategically process trauma. I can also do multi-day processing (retreat style) and we will need to consult to ensure our schedules can line up. Intensives can be for anyone, I have a guide for before and after and I’ve found for complex trauma, they work best for those who’ve already had some therapy and are wanting to specifically process something that’s come up or is outside your therapist’s scope. It can also be for a one-time trauma event.

Do you take insurance?

I do not have any openings for individual treatment at this time. Intensives are not covered by insurance due to the length of treatment. I can bill BCBS or Cigna for our intake session prior to the intensive.

What is your cost?

My fee is $150 per therapy appointment, with a session typically going for 50-60 minutes. Intensives are $450-$600 for 4 hours (half-day). If you’re interested in more than one session, we can discuss setting up a package for multiple days.

Good Faith Estimate

The Good Faith Estimate (1/2022 effective date): Health care providers and health care facilities are required to provide a good faith estimate of expected charges for items and services.

Your estimate can be found in your Simple Practice portal. This is not intended to be a contracted or exact amount as insurance and even appointment frequency can change and is based on information that is known at the time it is made.

The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur. If this happens, federal law allows you to dispute (appeal) the bill.
