Beachy thoughts

{I’m at the beach today, tending to my own grief. The ocean is a place I’ve always been drawn to, a place to heal, let go, to just be. Self care is a journey. One I hope more embark on. My thoughts today as the sun came out briefly after a foggy morning. }

We post our joys but not our sorrows. We rob ourselves of community. Of comfort and solace in knowing we aren’t alone. Emotions are temporary yet we strive to only be happy. Each has a lesson to teach us. Lessons aren’t meant to be tattooed on your soul but a detour towards growth. Growth requires discomfort, not shame. Do you rob yourself of comfort, while striving for an impossibility on social media, comparing, shaming, comparing, shaming?

Release what you’re carrying. The weight of it all. Reach out to your community when you struggle and when you are joyful. Shift your mindset towards possibility and opportunity. Not everything will make sense and it will hurt, a lot. Feel it, then let that go too.

We are only for but a moment on this earth. The sun hits different after the clouds part, each wave the same, yet different. We begin with an inhale, we leave with an exhale. Each breath the same, yet different. What are you choosing to demonstrate with your life?
